I was wondering who everyone uses to book their cruises. I would like to find a travel agent on line that I can e-mail with questions. I want to try PRINCESS cruises (usually I sail Royal Caribbean) and have tons of questions when I do book. Can anyone recommend anyone? THANKS!
I've always booked direct through Princess. Their service representatives are wonderful and very knowledgable. 1-800-Princess will do the trick. Enjoy your cruise!!
I just pick up the phone and call my travel agent. She is always helpful. Any agent can be emailed with your questions. The hard thing is to find THEE agent. I was using a local agent until he quite after 9/11. My wife and I met our present agent on a cruise and we love the special service we've been getting for the past 5 years. I live in Wisconsin and she lives in Maryland. Going direct to a cruise line to book a cruise really won't save you any money. I prefer getting that "personalized service" I get with our agent.
Look for a Virtuoso agency - you will find they have the most experienced agents. Also, some of the perqs you get when you book through them are sweet. The same is almost true for AmEx agencies.
We used affordabletours.com and they were great. We just booked with Cruisevalue.com and got a great deal on Freedom of the Seas. You can go to Cruisecomplete.com and get quotes from several agents for free. Thats a great service.
I always book directly with the cruiseline. The reason being is agencies close at 5-6pm, but for example, Carnival is available 24hrs a day. Hope this helps!!
Most online cruise agency's are open 24 hours. You can save a ton of money by going through an agency rather than going directly through the cruise line themselves.
Would you care to share the name of the travel agent? Can you contact them via e-mail?
