What are some of your fondest cruise memories?

I have only been on one cruise, but honestly, I feel like it will be one of the best when it is all said and done.
My girlfriend at the time (who I thought would be my wife someday) and I really had an awesome time. We relaxed, we read, we swam, we talked, we explored. It was a great experiance for me, at no time did I feel bored. Playing ping pong with her and playing cards were some of the fun things we did on the ship, besides, you know http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif I dont know if she had as good as time as I did, but I know that I will always remember that 2 weeks in september, as long as I live.

raffles,
that is by far the most heartfelt sentiment I have read here.
That you can still look back on that cruise with such fondness, even after the breakup, is just heart-warming.
My prayer for you is that you find a Mrs. Raffles and get to do it all again.

Thanks, I am glad I could spread some love today.

I love the family meals. Everyone there at dinner, on time, clean, dressed up. Well mannered and knowing which fork to use. Its a mothers dream come true.

I will always remember our week on the Miracle last October.

Without all the details, it was a "Mom's dream come true". Our youngest son is 15 and autistic. The staff and crew went out of their way to make sure he felt comfortable at Club O2. By the second night, he was dancing in the disco and having the time of his life. It turned out that for one week, his life was not defined by his autism. He was just a normal 15 year old boy. The kindness of the staff and the fellow kid passengers will never be forgotten!

Each and every cruise has something special about it. Some of our very best friends are those we've met on a cruise. That's worth more than anything. My wife and I both agree that cruising has changed our lives. The most wonderful people are found on a cruise ship.

My fondest cruise memory was on formal night on the RCCL Voyager of the Seas when our Matre' D put on my cousins boa and danced around like the gay blade and we laughed so hard that 1500 people in the gigantic dining room went silent and looked over to see what was going on. That is my greatest cruise memory.

There are so many of them. The sunrises and sunsets, the sailaways, coming into ports, walking aboard, the welcoming smiles of the crew and staff. Two really stand out in my mind. We were sailing away from Trinidad, leaving the green water there were 6 dolphins swimming next to us as if they were saying "goodbye". The other one was last year, I stepped out on the balcony and there was a perfect rainbow. I could see both ends in touching the water. My hubby and I stared in amazement, while I was frantically snapping pictures and trying to find the pot-of-gold! I do hope you will continue to cruise sans girlfriend. When you least expect it--BAM--it happens! Best wishes!

And that what makes us all Cruise Junkies... its the memories you get from cruising. I'm sure you can get them from other vacations as well, but not having to worry about the details- where are we going to eat.. when will we get there, I hope the reservation at the next hotel are good... what show do you want to see.. blah blah blah... Not having that stuff cluttering up your mind frees you to fully experience what is going on around you and enjoy yourself.
