DON'T hold up the cruise staff by talking to them endlessly... they are not on vacation, they have a job to do.
Would this include the cruise staff at the Information (a.k.a. Purser's) Desk? During my first cruise I was guilty of this. I had more than a few questions to ask.
No, as long as you are asking questions, that's ok.. that IS their job at the info desk. My MIL would want to talk to the wait staff in the dinning room about their lives and their families etc... which is fine, but it held up food service and half the dinning room would be finished and gone before we got our food... and I get hungry if I don't eat EVER HOUR on a cruise

I'm going to have to prepare my DH for this!!!! He is such a sociable person and will talk to eveyrone and anyone for endless periods of time. When we have people come to the house to do work (i.e. - cable installers) - he follows them around the house and talks to them the whole time. He is such a nice guy and I guess we are opposites. I'm happy on my own and doing my own thing and really won't start up a conversation. I like to talk to people, don't get me wrong but mostly, I guess I'm a loner (only child) I know this is going to be an issue but he is on vacation too and I don't want to argue or keep telling him to not talk to people for too long. Any polite suggestions???
Voice of experience: DON'T place a refrigerator magnet in the same pocket as your Sea Pass Card (or any credit card)!! One of our tablemates bought me the cutest magnet in Panama. I placed it in my pocket with the Sea Pass Card. Couldn't get in our room until I had it reprogrammed!!!
Do relax, enjoy the sunsets, meet new friends, and have a wonderful time!

My husband is the same way exactly! When he gets that way all I have to do is give him a look and shake my head and he knows what I'm thinking. I tell him sometimes about his excessive talking to people and he knows he is that way so he don't get mad. Maybe just talk nice to him and he will get the point?
Good luck
Linda
