Whale killed by Cruise Ship?

Hey all, Monday's newspaper had a very small news article about a whale "impaled" on the front of a cruise ship. I am not blaming the cruise ship in any way, the whale just picked the wrong time to surface I guess, but the article never said which ship it was. I was just curious if anyone knows any more info?

It seems hard to believe that whale could get stabbed by the bow of a ship like that. I know they have a "nose" that sticks out in front to break the waves, but it seem way to blunt and large to be able to spear anything. You would think a whale would and could easily avoid a cruise ship.

The article I read stated it was the Celebrity Summit, it also stated that the authorities were not sure if the whale was already dead when it was stuck to the front of the ship, or what exactly happened. According to authorities they are not holding the cruise ship responsible.

According to this article the whale was not speared but was riding atop the bow bulb.

Yes, my article said the authorities were not blaming the cruise ship either. And the possibilty the whale was already dead, make sense I guess.
