i am looking for a great cruise line to go to the southern caribean. I got sailed NCL and i have sailed carnival in the past. I loved NCL but am looking for some reccomendations for other cruise lines.

NCL was wonderful, I still had my problem with the service charge. But i would cruise NCL again.
any suggestions

Consider the NCL Pearl 9 day southern caribbean cruise. We have done it....it was GREAT.

Hi tonia. I saw from another of your posts that you enjoyed NCL's Freestyle Cruising. Which aspects did you enjoy most -- dining, relaxed dress code, or something else? Is this something you'd like to see on your next cruise, or would you want to try something different? Princess currently has an Anytime Dining option, and HAL is about to phase on in, but there are other factors to consider prior to selecting them. Also, what length of cruise are you considering?

Hi Tonia, the best thing to do is find a good cruise specialist. They can match what you want to the best ship available. It's hard for us to say, my favorite is Princess, SonnyV's favorite is Royal Caribbean, etc. LisaP asks some great questions that you need to answer and a cruise specialist can certainly help. They will give you the best prices as well. Best wishes, looking forward to seeing what you choose.

My favorite cruise line is the one I am on at any particular time.

Seriously, as you can see from my signature, we have only sailed Carnival and will only sail them until my son is to old for Club O2. (he is a special needs child and lives for Club O2)

But after that...I intend to sail on all of them (that have karaoke) before my final debarkation.

The key is findind someone knowledgable that knows what will make your cruise the best it can be.

If you are sold on Freestyle dining, then you need to know that Carnival (and some others) do not offer that.

If you are addicted to 24 hour pizza, then you need to know that some cruise lines don't do that.

There is a cruise line (actually several) that will fit you needs and wants. I would recommend that you find a local TA (preferably one that is recommended to you by a friend) that you can talk to and get to know and be very honest with them about what you do and do not want!

Happy Cruising!!

tonia. I have sailed the Adventure of the Seas on Royal Caribbean out of San Juan and absolutely loved it! I chose the itenerary that stops in Aruba, Curacao, St. Maarten and St. Thomas and loved those ports so much that I am going back in (now) less than two months! Although they do not offer freestyle dining, it is a beautiful ship. The Royal Promenade makes the ship seem even bigger than it really is.

I think it would be difficult to go wrong on any southern caribbean itenerary.

Good luck.

Princess also goes to Antigua, we did that itnerary last year. Princess offers anytime dining, which is similar to free-style.
