I have heard repeated mentions of cruise ships possibly being used to house some refugees of Katrina.
This is from CNN: Responding to suggestions that cruise ships might be used to assist storm victims, Christine Fischer, spokeswoman for the International Council of Cruise Lines, said the cruise lines are in talks with the government.
"It is a possibility," she said. "This is something that the cruise industry is exploring." But, she added, "we're trying to figure out if you're even able to get a ship up the river."
But now I just heard on Fox and MSNBC that CCL specifically is offering help- does anyone have any info on that- and can you imagine the domino effect for cruisers? What is happening with current NOLA cruises?
