Have there been changes recently regarding the airline carry on of booze purchased duty free?
Someone thought that one could no longer carry on the plane.
Thanks for the help.

Yup, you would have to check it. Most of the adult bevvies stores have been doing a much better job of packing the bottles. So you might be able to get away wife putting them in a suitcase (with lots of clothes around them)

If you are checking the liquor I would also put it in Zip-Lock bags, or two.

Thanks for the quick responses. If it needs to be checked through, can the box that they usually pack liquor in be tagged and checked through as an additional item. Will it survive the trip in this manner. If we each have a suitcase being checked through, will we be charged additional cost for the liquor boxed?

Thanks for the help; leaving Sat for Miami and cruising on Sunday on Explorer. 3 Sunsets and 1 Glorious Sunrise !

No, liquor will not survive in the cardboard boxes the stores pack it in. You need to pack it inside a suitcase and protect it well. Most airlines allow you two checked luggages per person.

Besides cardboard boxes not holding up, Im sorry I wouldnt trust anyone with the box if they knew what was in it anyway. I would double ziplock bag it, put it in some bubble wrap and then put it between cloths in the luggage, safest way.

Again, thanks all for the great advise with regard to bringing back duty free liquor. I think its not worth the hassel or having something like that leaking in a suitcase.
Two sunsets and one glorious sunrise..Leaving tomorrow morning for night before in Miami and then off on Sunday on RCI Explorer of the Seas.
