This is a few years old, and, with a small enhancement, illustrates my feelings on a lovely spring day!

I Sing Of The Sea

When Nature casts its magic
Upon evening's calm
And day is done,
And the water is a mirror
To the echo
Of the setting sun,
I sing of the sea!

When gentle breezes stir the waves
And reflect the silver
Image of the moon,
And the rustle
Of the evening wind
Evokes a soothing tune
I sing of the sea!

When the whistling wind
Of a sudden gale
Makes the waves crash high,
And lightening shows
The dark storm clouds
That race across the sky,
I sing of the sea!

To walk upon a wooden deck
No matter what
The ocean's mood,
To feel the salt breeze on my face
And know that
Life is good,
I sing of the sea!

To spend a golden day
Upon a ship
With the one I love.
This tranquil ocean scene
Inspires my soul.
I thank my God above.
I sing of the sea!

Beautiful, Paul. I was awakened this morning at 3:07 by a clap of thunder that shook the house. I would much rather be at sea, right now

Sooo well said Paul, thanks for sharing.

Penny, that thunder came right up the coast of New England and did the same thing here.
