Anyone ever use this site to book? Looking for advice....looks like some good deals but I'm a little cautious.

Mandi,

I have used it before and it has some good deals. Be careful though as they often bait and switch. Just give them a call and then see if you can find a better deal somewhere else. Vacationstogo used to be better as they booked blocks of cabins and as time got closer to departure, they would unload unsold cabins dirt cheap. Unfortainitly, ever since they became more popular they do not buy sections of cabins. Hope this helps.

We have used vacationtogo three times. Check out the earlier link - last posted on March 26.

Find the best rate for the cruise you want and then call e-cruises.com and book with them. They will match the price and they give you free travel insurance which is always a good idea.

In an earlier link I recommended vacationstogo but I was just informed that they do not honor price drops. The cost of our cruise went down and I was told that once you pay the price is set. So next time I will book directly with the cruise lines! (This was my first time to book a cruise and I guess you live and you learn!)

phensgrl,
Interesting. I booked through VTG and was told that if the price drops just let them know and it would be adjusted. I can understand that my agent can't necessarily monitor everyones cruises so feel free to let her know. And if by chance I get lucky and it drops not just once but twice call twice.

I wonder if it's the cruise line that is really the driver of whether or not they will refund the savings.

So far unfortunately, no price drop yet (still hoping) so I can't confirm more than what I was told.

When we booked our current cruise with VTG, the cruise line actually had the price listed at $100.00 below the VTG price (which was already a bargain) It was the VTG agent who told us when he booked us in at the lower price.

I go to their site daily because it's a good place to get prices and see specials. I booked one cruise through them and they were wonderful. The agents are very knowledgable and will stear you in the right direction. BUT...
If I'm going to book a Carnival cruise, I ALWAYS book through CCL...because if the price goes down, they'll give you the difference in shipboard credit. But overall, VTG is excellent!
