Mary & I have just returned from a Southern Caribbean ruise on the Sun Princess. e were looking forward to our Sun cruise because we had sailed on her sister ships, the Sea and Ocean Princess. We were very impressed with both ships and their crews. We particularly liked the layout of these ships and were planning to book them again when we learned both ships were transferred overseas to the parent company P & O. The only ships of this class still sailing are the Sun out of Ft. Lauderdale and the Dawn from Puerto Rico.
Being the Sun Princess was built in 1995, we were somewhat concerned about the condition of the ship. We knew it was the talk of the industry when it was introduced, but being eight years old, we didn’t know what to expect. We expected see some wear and tear of the carpets and upholstered furniture but they appeared like new as did every part of the ship. It looked like it had just arrived from the Fincantiere shipyard for her inaugural cruise. We are happy to tell you the ‘Sun’ is still a magnificent vessel, absolutely beautiful and in immaculate condition.
We will be posting our review shortly. As soon as we do, we will let you know.

I just wanted to say that I immensely enjoy your reviews. I must add that my favorite parts are not just the descriptions of the ship, ports, etc. but are the things that Mr. Wimpy does for his wife. Yours is truly a blessed union.
Thank you for your very kind words, you are most gracious. It's very rewarding to have you respond to what we wrote with such positive comments. With God's grace, we hope to keep on enjoying each of the days of this wonderful life he has provided us.
