Accidental Honorary Doctorate On My Cruise Docs

It is almost a week from my cruise. I just printed my cruise documents and discovered that I recieved an honorary docotorate degree from Carnival

Actually, there must have been a mistake during the booking. My travel agent probably clicked on the wrong prefix field from the drop-down menu (by the first name) . So I became Dr. Frase. I guess it is better than becoming Mrs. Frase or Ms. Frase (I am a male in my 30's).

So, should I do anything about it? I am concerned when I provide the credit card information for my Sail-N-Sign account or sign my Contract Acknowlegment on the next page. Both pages they require my signature above the my printed name with "Dr." infront. Should I worry about that? Should I contact Carnival to see if "Dr." should be changed to "Mr."? After all, I have only 4 years of college education.

I wouldn't worry about it. Just think of the fun if they page you over the intercom!

Congratulations, Frase. It didn't state what kind of a "Dr." you are, you could have done your post graduate work in chocolate melting cake. I've never signed any of my documents using "Ms" "Mrs", just signed my name. Maybe you could take that into your boss and tell him you deserve a raise. After all, you now are a doctor.

Thats pretty funny..it reminds me of a excursion we went on and the tour guide told everyone on the island i was a famous actress!! for the rest of the cruise people kept looking at me...i could tell they were wondering!!!so to you i say....embrace your new title doctor!!!!

Thank you everyone. I will do nothing about it. Except for fun At least once during the cruise, I'll go to the pursers desk or shore-ex desk, and ask them a question that would require them to enter my information, I can't wait to hear them say "Is that all, Dr.?" or "Have a nice cruise Dr.".
