I actually just won a two person cruise package on Royal Carribean for memorial day weekend, and I'm trying to decide if I should give it to someone or go myself.
I'm asking because as of right now, I would probably just bring a friend of mine, and I wasn't sure if there would be anything fun for two single guys (late 20's) to do. Cruising seems like more of a romance thing. It seems like we might have fun on a carnival cruise, but the demographics of royal carribean wouldn't favor our situation.
I suppose I'm curious also as to whether single women go on these cruises (twenty's/early thirties)?

Jason,
I am not sure which ship you will be on, but there will definitely be single women in the twenties/early thirties age range on any of RC's fleet at that time. That is actually a great time of year to cruise. Have fun!!!

Jason, you will have a blast, my son was in his late 20's when he went on his first cruise, he was going to spend time with his "parents" (us), we never saw him. He went to the disco each night, found friends to hang out with both single guys and gals...so don't worry, there will be plenty of singles on the cruise, especially during Memorial Day week-end.
I would go with my friend and have a ball. There always seems to be more single women on a cruise than men. I suspect because it is safe for ladies to cruise togeter or individually.
Jason,
Contratulations on your win.
You HAVE to go. I am sure you will have an awesome time. Going alone or with your friend.
There are always single people to meet.
Enjoy & let us know how you like it......
I second everything you just heard. We just took single girls with us around your age and an older single friend on a cruise with our family in March and the two girls around your age met two guys on the ship and we barely ever saw them the entire week! We were on a cruise during spring break week and it seemed 50% of the ship were singles. I am SURE Memorial Day would have a lot of the same makeup since it is a holiday. Have Fun!

Jason:
Congratulations! All I can say, is "Go, Go, Go"!!! I cannot imagine any way you could not have a good time. There is so much to do, and so much time for you to relax too, if you want to.
How did you win tickets? I want a chance too! Hope you go and have a fantastic time!
First, thank you to all who replied to my email. There is just no way I could not go now based on all of your positive responses. In fact, I'm now very excited, and can't wait for my first cruise. From what it sounds like, I'm sure it won't be my last.
kandl--I won tickets by winning a contest at work based on performance. We had actually structured the promotion to drive sales with our customers, and our manager thought it would be good to reserve one prize package for us internal folk.
Happy Cruising Everyone! Looking forward to bringing back some good stories on the other side of the trip!
