Time to dispel some of those HAL myths.

What you all, or y'all just described comes closer to describing a 15 day Princess Cruise to Hawaii than a Holland America cruise in the Baltic.

Does HAL have an early bird dinner special at the extra-fee restaurants? Between 4 and 5 pm you get the surf and turf for half off, with a glass of wine.

I've never seen a puking teenager on any cruise I've been on, regardless of cruise line.

HAL has only three channels... Matlock reruns on one, Murder She Wrote reruns on two, and Wheel of Fortune on three. Yep, you don't have to worry about puking teens and children running in the halls. Indeed, the "little rascals" that you need to worry about have four wheels and a driver with bad reflexes and a weak bladder.

Oh you guys are killing me. But there is truth in everything you say. The ship is very quiet after the last show plus I don't remember there even being a midnight buffet. And BINGO with all bags being in the hallway by 7:30pm on the last night...mine included!!

Just for the record, we had two infants onboard, and I actually saw a puking teenager. Never thought I'd say things like that in DEFENSE of a cruise line.

Oh, and we didn't have to have our bags in the hallway until midnight; although some had them out earlier like Granny H-O-H.
