Oh, the horror! I thought organizing an 11 person cruise was a nightmare!!!! Raffles, you're elected....by default. I think you and Alex should be cabin mates, or at the least, sharing the same dinner table (traditional, not freestyle).
Sure, no problem, but we will have to find an NCL ship without freestyle! Then later on alex and I can go out to deck 13 and he can mysteriously dissapear!
I think the cruise lines would be wise to send a delegation of (serious cruisers)on an all expenses paid, first class 14 day+
I for one would promise not to bad mouth any line that offers! If you guys are listening please send a complete list of available sailing dates. Note: I will not discrimanate between companies.all offers will be reviewed on a first come first sail basis. No resonable (paid) offer will be refused.
My previous forum was SeaLetter, which was acquired by Tom around the time I hung my shingle up here. Anyway, SeaLetter used to have "Cruise Bashes" which were group cruises of forum members. The owner of SeaLetter was a cruise agent and she handled all the bookings. We would need one of our resident agents to step up to the plate. I'd sure like to have Cruise-Chat do a group cruise. Scheduling is always the problem. Not everyone can go when a final date is selected.
I live on the east coast and can't go during hurricane times. August, September, and mid-October.
I would be willing to go any other time and on any cruise line.
If we can get a time frame to start and all agree on a cruise line, this could be a fun thing. We need to get Tom onboard with this, and it be a non-profit for us.
Meaning whoever books our group the commission goes to charity. We can have fun and meet and give too.
Let's get this Cruise started.
I nominate Dave Beers as Group Leader for the Cruise-Chat.com cruise.
This is a wonderful idea. While I was never able to make any of the SeaLetter Cruise Bashes, I know that an excellent time was had by all. I think there were four or five of them -- Dave, do you recall?
I too already have my cruise and vacation time planned for this year. But it is never too early to start planning for next year. I would think the earlier the better. Even if we all just do a short cruise would be fun.
