future cruise offers

Hubby seems to think that we will get some fabulous cruise offer from Carnival during/at the end of our trip..ie if we book right then.

Do they do that? Do you get good deals or are they the same price and you THINK you are getting a good deal? If we did get offered and we took it what would you have to do? Credit card? Pick a date right there?

I am not sure about what Carnival does. Princess does have a program when you book on board. You put down $100 per person deposit. This is good for 4 years. It offers some onboard cash, and also deferred payment for the cruise. They do also have specials.

Although I have not sailed Carnival, my experience has been that I received a shipboard credit on my next cruise and was locked into the cheapest rate. Once I booked on board everything was handled through my local travel agent after that.
