We are getting ready to submit our passports for renewal. I completed the form online and then printed it. In order for the picture area to be 2x2, the printer cut off the form number at the bottom of the page. Do you think that will make a difference?
Also, I know we staple one picture to the little box. What do we do with the second picture?
I have been to several websites and checked the FAQ sections, but these haven't been addressed. I'm surprised that more people don't want to know what to do with the second picture!
Just fill the application out and take the 2 copies of the pictures with you to the passport application facility. The person who verifies all your information will take care of the pictures.
I am trying to renew our passports, which you do by mail. Well, maybe at a passport facility if you live near one, but we don't!
I went to the post office today and got a renewal form. She said to staple one picture to the designated area and the other picture on the second page. Then you mail it, with your money and the old passport, to the address shown on the form.
Mine is a new application. I am getting confused as well about another issue. It says a certified copy of BC. I only have a card. To get a certified paper copy VA says 4-6 weeks for $12 or online for $48 for 2-5 days.
Heck, this is getting expensive IMHO for a US citizen to be able to travel.
Do you have to send the BC in, or can it be witnessed at the oath?

There are a number of online passport sites that can provide assistance for those of you in remote locations. The post office is the distribution source for the application. If you have questions try either www.zvs.com or www.samspassport.com online. They've both been very helpful with things I needed to know but didn't.
