cruise recommendation (leaving from Los Angeles, CA)

My family is planning to take a cruise in early
November and would like to know if anyone could give me some recommendation please. My wife and I are both 32 years old and we have 3 month old infant baby. We have never taken a cruise before.
We would like to take 5 - 7 day cruises. We would like to depart from Los Angeles. Our budget would be about $5K.

Based on your ages, budget and the fact that you will have a 3 month old in tow, I would recommend Royal Caribbean. They have an excellent baby-sitting program. I know they have a 7 day Mexican Riviera cruise that departs from Los Angeles which might be perfect.
