hi people..just wondering, I thought I heard that CRUISE VALUE was changing hands. I booked a cruise on princess linee with them 6 months ago for next april. they want to charge us over 700$ for taxes and fees...where princess only charges 85$ for taxes and fees..I mean WHAT THE HELL..I`ve sent them 3 e-mails ..still no ans..calling them tomorrow..does anyone else hear about changing hands?????

You're not in penalty (at least the cruiseline and reputable agencies don't have a penalty) on an Apr 08 sailing. If you're having these type of issues already, I'd cancel it and find a reputable agency (online or not) not in the midst of rumors and turmoil. Don't wait until they change hands and the new owner says "that was the old agency, our policy and pricing is different and we charge for cancellations" and there is nothing you can do about it.

Am not that familiar with them. Could be they are doing the breakdown differently and including the port charges and Gov fees all in one sum? Hope you get a straight answer. As Neil noted, you are no where near penalty for cancellation.

It sounds like they are doing the break down differently as Island Cruz says. When ever I talk with Princess they always quote the fare and then tell you how much of that fare is "noncommissioned" IE: $1300. and $253 is noncommissioned.
If you are comparing apples and apples the bottom line price should be the same from Princess or Cruise Value.
