My husband and I are contemplating a first-time cruise to the Bahamas in november. We don't know the first thing about cruising. What do we bring in terms of wardrobe? We are not fancy people, so we do not have evening attire. What are the most important items to bring on the cruise?

Hi momu, Welcome to Cruise-Chat!

Depending on the cruise line, you wouldn't necessarily need formal evening attire. The dress code varies with the cruise lines as far as dinner goes and the different dinner options. There are lots of important items to bring on a cruise. The most important would be the required travel documents to board the ship. Another for me is my "cruise-attude". I'm sure you'll get many more suggestions. Which cruise line are you considering? Congrats on contemplating your first cruise, it only takes one and you'll be hooked.

We will be traveling on the Carnival Triumph which sails from Charleston, SC in November, 2009. What are some money pits on the boat to avoid? When in the Bahamas, what are some of the better shopping deals?

Thanks for responding so promptly.

momu-

Please continue you this topic in your other thread (since it is all the same questions). I'm going to close this one to avoid clutter.

Do not take that personally as we try to keep things together for ease of reading. Welcome to Cruise Chat!
