My first was the Jubilee - not my favorite. As much as I disliked the ship, I loved the cruising experience. I wish I could have cruised "back in the day"... I remember my parents and my sister sailing in the 70's... You are all correct - it was simpler then.
My favorite so far is the Sea Princess, she was my first Princess cruise. My first cruise was on the Costa Daphne, I have definitely come a long way. We sailed the Magica last year, she was beautiful, but not my favorite. I'm thinking the Emerald may be my favorite, but wont know until November.
Penny, I think it's interesting that considering all the Princess ships you and I have been on, including Sun calss ships (except Ocean Princess for me) that we both singled out Sea Princess as our favorite. What is it about that ship?
I'm not sure why, it's just such a wonderful feeling on board. I feel at home on all the Princess ships, but the Sea is just special. She's definitely not the newest, but she sure is magnificent.
That's it Penny; it's the feeling onboard. All the Sun class ships are basically the same physically--so it must be something intangible like the "feeling".
Although, I will add that it has the best food of any of the ships; including best pizza.
Frase, I just saw your comment about British tourists--I was never aware of an abundance of British, or any other nationality of tourists. Possibly when she is in the Mediterranean; but I last sailed on her from Ft. Lauderdale to Los Angeles.
