Tropical Storm Barry has formed in the southeast Gulf Of Mexico. Stay tuned to this message thread for any updates on cruise changes as a result of this storm!
Yeah, I am usually one who laughs at the media hysteria about "the start of hurricane season", as if things suddenly will start on June 1....and damned if it didn't happen this time!
Yeah, I too think of that and chuckle. Our paper had it on the front page about start of the season. So it was a bit ironic that it actually happened. Hope all the cruisers fare well. But it is good news for Florida and Georgia and even up my way. It has been like a drought! Has cut down on mosquitos, but I want some fresh corn!
Dave, Thanks for posting this and in all sincerety people need to be aware, they are predicting an active season.
i guess specifically I was wondering if there is a good place to check for sea conditions prior to embarkation. From every Celebration cruise review lately the "rocking" of the ship has been somewhat severe. Just hoping to be prepared.
Local News from Palm Beach, FL has our coast looking good tomorrow and all week. High's up to 90 degrees. Winds should die down about Monday. Looks good although you know how weather forcasting goes!
We are getting some wind and rain now. Darn thing blew my Jalepeno plant over!
As Dave said, should be on up the coast by Monday.
Kevin- I don't know what it is with the Celebration and that route. But for some reason it does like to be-bop if you get any rough seas, but it should be fine by then.
If you want to check click here for a decent wave indicator.
