My last breathe and my last buck will be on a cruise...somewhere....:-)...I will keep an eye on the budget and then book a cruise....Just did 2 cruises in less than 3 months and just might go back to Alaska...I just hope the ship won't be empty....Happy sailing...
At this point the only one changeing my plan is the hubby. We're going on a cruise in may09 so he thought I was crazy to have booked the Oasis of the seas for 2010 instead of waiting a few years. Well to shut him up for now I canceled the Oasis. I still hope to be able to go in a few more years. It would be so nice to win the lottery! I guess it would be better to focus on one at a time.
Svein, The only good financial news I've had recently was my adjustable mortgage resetting lower too. I've cut back alot on other things to be able to cruise this year. I haven't went 13 months between cruises in a long time. I spent my stimulus check last year on my cruise.
We were going in April. Decided to hold off with the uncertain economy. No problems yet for us, but definitely worry about having a job by the end of this year. So our plans have DEFINITELY changed when it comes to cruising this year.
We are cruising in April and booked this when the economy began to sink. We missed 2008 and can't wait to be out there once again. I sometimes look at what we lay out there (total)for a week of cruising and I say ouch; but then, we are worth all of it and have worked very hard to enjoy what we have and can do.
I don't think the economy would change my cruise plans. Although, it might curtail and reduce the length, intinerary, and budget of any future cruise of mine.
The dreams of a long cruise around the world, booked in the Royal Suite of a luxury cruise ship, does seem further and further away .

Gosh, do I hear you, we always cruise Europe and now I am putting that on hold and trying the Caribbiean for the first time. It was still great but the places you visit in Europe are so fantastic. Hey, a cruise is still a cruise and I did really enjoy the Caribbean !
GUESS, WE'LL GO BACK FOR MORE!!
