Please help me pick a cabin

Ok, so here's my sob story. My husband and I were booked to take a Caribbean cruise for our honeymoon this week. Unfortunately my dad had two heart attacks and had to have bypass surgery so we had to cancel at the last minute (thank god we bought insurance!). We want to rebook now but it seems all the good cabins are taken. What I want to know is, how good/bad are the front and back cabins? Also, what about inside vs outside vs balcony? We were booked in an outside cabin, deck 6, midship. What should we go for now?

Sorry about your dad! Hope he recovers well! Are you going on the cruise this week still? If so, and if you can't get any cabins midship, I'd recommend going for the stern (back) over the bow, as there's less motion. On a lower deck, there may be more noise from anchor, thruster motors, etc., though.

It's your honeymoon - if it's still within your financial reach, go for a balcony if there are any available. Otherwise you could take what you can get - or try for a different date. Best of luck, and congratulations!

Hi Hope your Dad is getting better. We just got back from our cruise on NCL Sun and we had the last cabin (aft) on the right hand side. We had a balcony the was 20' long. It was great we will try to get that cabin again next time.
