I am going to be booking a cruise for either Carnival Fantasy or RC Sovreign of the Seas, have never cruised before and was looking for some feedback. I had been leaning towards Carnival, because of the bigger cabins, but after reading some of the posts I am not so sure. I am going with my boyfriend and we are in our mid-twenties, and it would be nice if there were some people there around our age.
Are there any major differences between the two lines?

I have not been on the Fantasy but my friends were...they liked it. I have done the Sovereign twice and going again in February. This is my 6th cruise I have done 2-NCL, 2-RCL and 1 Carnival. I think the food is a little better on the RCL. The Sovereign is a nice older ship, real good value for the money. These two ships are about hte same size and vintage. The ports of call would be the difference. You will have people in your age group no matter what ship you take, or that's what I have seen on my cruises. Good luck...

Carnival Fantasy is an older ship, and not the cleanest place we've been. While we haven't sailed RCL, many people that we've spoken to, prefer RCL to Carnival. Carnival has many older children on board, and with our experience, were not under control at all.
