Hi
My cruise is just round the corner, westbound transatlantic. We're stopping in Nassau, then on to Key West. What I'd like to know is which port of call will we need to clear US Immigration first. I'm hoping it's Nassau as we don't have long in Key West and from bitter experience it took us near 2 hours sitting around waiting to clearing immigration trying to get into Miami.
Many Thanks
Billy
Do not know for sure but when in the Carribean and Key West is the last stop before debarkation Everyone goes through immagration on the ship before docking in Key West. The process starts before docking in Key West so you do not lose any port time in Key West. At least that was our experience
You will clear Immigration in Key West because you are coming back into the United States. Nassau is not US territory so you will not need to clear Immigration when you stop there. It usually takes a couple of hours as long as everyone on the manifest shows up when called, if even one person does not show up it holds the whole ship up from disembarking.
