Baggage Carry On To Ship

Does anyone know if in Ft. Lauderdale, at the port are you just able to take all of you luggage yourself and carry it on the ship with you or do you have to give it to the porters?

All luggage you carry on to the ship will be x-rayed in machines that are similar to the size used for carry on luggage in airports. Anything else would have to be hand inspected which would slow up the boarding process. You can carry on your luggage but I would wonder why you wanted to carry all your luggage on.

I would carry on valuables in a small carry on case and just send the rest through. It will save you a lot of hassle and work. As I said it will also speed up the boarding process.
