We got our cruise docs today--33 days before we leave!! We ran out of brain power before we could finish looking at all the information and excursions! Between the land tour and the cruise, there is a lot of information to review.

We leave on the Island Princess for our Alaska cruise and land tour on 5/16/07.

One, two, three, do the Cruise Docs Boogie!!

Finally, I now know what kind of dance it is... a boogie! I always pictured someone clumsily flailing their arms around while lifting their legs in an untimely fashion. I also picture this happening spontaneously at the mailbox with neighbors secretly watching.

I am genuinely happy for you!

That's wonderful news Nadine! I was wondering if you ever got your docs. Ours came several weeks ago. I don't think I've ever gotten this excited over a cruise before. Only 4 more weeks to go! Sure hope those temps start to climb in Alaska real soon.

Chef- you have been hanging out in too many of the wrong kinds of dance halls

Actually the doc dance is done with a "boot- scoot`en boogie down here in Texas..." Arm flailing and leg lifting is for a whole different celabration

Congrats, Nadine. We are leaving for our first cruise/tour on May 28th on Island Princess to Alaska. Supposedly, Princess put documents in the mail to our TA at the beginning of last week. I just sent an email to her asking on the status of the documents. I too, would love to join in the traditional "Document Dance"!

Thank you all for sharing my excitement! We have booked several excursions that sound fun as well as interesting.

Spiritfilled--your "counter" says only 22 more days. I am so excited for you. That first cruise is a special memory.

mob122906, is this your first cruise or your first Alaskan cruise?

Chef Ken, if I were younger, I might have done the dance you described. However, since flailing the arms causes a crick in the neck, I chose to do a "virtual Boogie" by writing to cruise-chat!!

Nadine
