Room Upgrade

Taking my first cruise Jan. 1 2009 carnival triumph with wife and 2 kids ages 18 & 16. Was offered an upgrade from a interior cabin to a suite for 450.00 is this a good deal

Yes, if you are going from an inside cabin to a category 11 or 12 suite for $450 total it is a good deal. Not so much if you mean $450 per person. With four adults you'll appreciate the extra space.

Thanks Dave 450.00 total leaving in the am. for an extra day of heat. 20 out now with snow. What does the vip mean for us

VIP means you get priority check-in. Not much else. Look for VIP check in signs or let them know if they don't realize you are in a suite.

That sounds like a good deal to me. An inside cabin would have been a little tight with kids in that age range. The VIP should also entitle you to priority debarkation as well. Check at the Info desk for the procedures. Congrats on your first cruise, and please give us a report when you return.
