Travel Insurance??

What are your thoughts on travel ins?
Has anyone had to use it and if so were you able to get your needs taken care of?

I've never had to use it but I don't leave home without it.

We have never had to use it. we usually only get it if we have a good deal of traveling to get to the port. I know that other things can happen, sickness, death in family ect. So far we have been lucky. Cruised 8 times, only bought it 4, never had to use it.
with that said, as we and our parents get older I am more incline to buy it.
