On the Carnival Inspiration the week of Christmas, we were the the only FOD on board that came to the meeting. We thought we noticed at least two other couples on board and wanted to meet up with them to chat, but no one came to the meeting but us. It was rather sad. Anyway, is it like this on other ships?

It's always hit or miss. I often sail with a couple I've known for 20+ years, and although they do not attend the FOD meetings, we just approach couples we see in a bar or lounge and introduce ourselves. Yeah, even me the third wheel. Some folks are looking to make friends, and some aren't, this is evident after the first drink. Just say hello !!

The week of Christmas you are going to get more families, I cruised with my Mom that week. Many times people complain about the groups on cruises, or too many families. With a ship that big you never know from week to week. Just avoid cruising when kids are off school and you get a better mix of adults
