Have you ever heard about "Clothing-Optional Cruises". I have heard certain cruiselines, such as Carnival, who charter one of their cruise ships for this purpose.

Has anyone here ever been on such a "Clothing-Optional" Cruise?

I wonder what it would be like. I suppose it might not be what I would expect.

I would hope that they dry dock after the cruise and dunk the entire ship in clorox. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...on_biggrin.gif

I always cruise naked! ( I just wear clothes over my nakedness)

I would imagine it would be like "Nudes on Ice," the old Vegas show...

Frase, Never been on a nude cruise, I would scare the heck out of people http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...s/icon_eek.gif But they do have a nude Sunset Catamaran Excursion on Key West. They flash the ship every year http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif

Take it by the positive side. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...n_rolleyes.gif

If you have only your handbag:
No air weight limits. No missing luggage risk. No need to look for luggage as you disembark.
More space for souvenirs.

No questions about dress code.

But in this case....
... no need to post topics as "Can husband wear jeans?" in Carnival chat.
... no Karrie to get mad. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo.../icon_wink.gif
... no Mr. October to post photographs showing what "his hope" would be. http://images7.fotki.com/v144/photos...3/sniff-vi.gif
... no view of Chef Ken's Minneapolis new coffee shop. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_frown.gif

Wait a minute: does all this belong to THE POSITIVE SIDE ? http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...n_confused.gif

Better traditional clothed cruises ...

If Carnival is willing to charter one of their ships for this type of cruise, I have a question.

Do they just assign staff to work this cruise or do they staff the ship with only volunteers?

I know cruise employees have almost no rights or are given very little dignity or respect but to be forced to deal with a bunch of naked, possibly horrifyingly ugly passengers seems a bit over the top. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...s/icon_eek.gif http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...s/icon_eek.gif

How do they get employees to work these cruises? The thought alone is enough to make me swear off of food, sex, alcohol, cruising and everything else. http://images7.fotki.com/v143/photos...33/nono-vi.gif
