I just want to say thanks to all you folks for the invaluable info I have read here on this board. My better half and I are going on our first cruise Sunday the 26th. The largest vessel eithier of us have ever been on is a small ferry, so this will be quite an experience. Sailing on the HAL Zaandam for the 15 day Hawaii Circle from San Diego.
Started in a Verandah Suite then got upgraded to the Deluxe Suite. Without reading the posts here I would probably stick out like a sore thumb not knowing anything about the ins and outs of cruising like tipping and that thing about the toilets
. You take an old redneck from Texas and put him in something like this with no warning or proper upbringing and things might get a little hairy around the edges
