I just returned from a week long cruise to Mexico on the Star and I feel like I'm still on the ship! It has been 3 days since I've been off the ship and I feel like the entire room is moving around when I am in a sitting position. I'm experiencing a really bad case of vertigo...at least I think that's what it is.

Has anyone else experienced severe dizziness after completing a cruise? I'm starting to get concerned.

Yes, Jann, it's happened to me. The more cruises I have taken (6 now) the less it seems to affect me, but I do feel like I'm "rolling" after I get off. It should go away after about a week. If it lasts longer than 10 days, especially without abating, consult your doctor. In the meantime, just laugh it off as a reminder of your cruise. Hope you had a great time!!! Hi Karen,

Thanks for your reply. It gives me comfort to know that this has happened to someone else and that it eventually goes away. I'll give it another week or so before I start to panic over the vertigo. In the meantime, I'll just pretend that I'm still on the cruise. I'm headed over to Horizon Court right now because its lunch time. LOL

Just as it takes a landlubber a while to get his sea legs, it takes a sailor a while to get back his land legs. I don't ususally experience vertigo, but I have a hard time getting to sleep in a stationary bed after being rocked to sleep every night while cruising. I had the feeling like I was walking on the ship
after we got back for a few days. It does go away.
But I sure missed the sleeping on the ship.
