Yes Dave, the smaller ships have a big draw for me too. I must check out those Princess ships.
I have only been on one Windstar, but would be happy to again. They depart from smaller islands so airfare increases, but the attention, the smaller islands, the ease of dining, the attention, the pool the size of a hot tub, but oh the attention, intimacy.

Lyn, I am also dying to know more Oceania, where have you sailed with Oceania, which ships and what do you like about them?
We have done 4 on the Regatta 1 on Insignia
We like the casual dress code, limited smoking areas, limited children, good food, nice people, alcohol policy (you can take alcohol etc for cabin use) less passengers so very seldom there is a line up for anything, good crew, open dining, more port intensive cruises no surcharge for specialty dining rooms
We just like the overall feel of the line
We have done a British Isles cruise, Panama Canal(both ways) Caribbean, Central America
We are going on the Insignia in July to Northern Europe & Norway & booked for the new ship Marina to Greece in Oct 2011

Wow, I have friends who won't go on Windstar, and this may be a nice option because you get a balcony which is their objection. They just got off the Eclipse and agree smaller ships suit us better. Thanks Lyn for the information.

Have a look they are a bit more $$ than the mass market lines but worth it for us
You may get hooked also

Yeah, been on their website, but so was Windstar, the things you save money on can be outweighed by the smaller cruise ship. Ya never know though Lyn, thanks!

According to USA Today, the CEO of Windstar was only making 96k per year and just got a raise to 168k. I was stunned but apparently the parent company for Windstar has been in dire financial waters.
Princess will definitely get my business soon, I believe Alaska would be a great way to try the line.
Oceania just announced yesterday that they will start cruising to Alaska in 2011, so that's another line you mentioned wanting to try that you could look into as well.
It is hard for me to give up these nice Perks I get on RCCL and Celebrity. I love getting 90 min free internet, laundry 20 items each for us, 4 to 6 each evening cocktail hour, Captains Club private breakfast with "Cappucinos" 4 items pressed
Priority boarding and I forget what else, but that in its self is a BIG savings Plus I like cruises with them.
QOC, Princess is just the right "fit" for me. It's like coming home everytime I step on board. For my taste buds, their food is the best, too. I also love the Sanctuary and MUTS, but it's just the atmosphere on board that makes me want to return, everytime.
