According to USA Today, the CEO of Windstar was only making 96k per year and just got a raise to 168k. I was stunned but apparently the parent company for Windstar has been in dire financial waters.
WOW, that is shocking.

Princess will definitely get my business soon, I believe Alaska would be a great way to try the line.
Oceania just announced yesterday that they will start cruising to Alaska in 2011, so that's another line you mentioned wanting to try that you could look into as well.
Oooh Ssndy, don't tempt me, I was on their website planning dream cruises last night already.

Priority boarding and I forget what else, but that in its self is a BIG savings Plus I like cruises with them.
Oh so do I, and I do use the internet, but only to print my boarding passes, I have a no internet policy when cruising. I did use the free pressing on Celebrity, not a coffee drinker, and 4-6 is my nap time, so I hate those hours. I became Diamond with the rest of the world, so I only got to use a Diamond Concierge lounge once, and it was wonderful. I do understand not cruising on Freedom class and Oasis may make a difference what amenities I are available. Thanks everyone, I guess i needed a refresher of what I am now taking for granted. But I still love hearing about what others find special.
LOL Dave, very funny.

MUTS, Movies Under the Stars. I really think it'd be great if all of Carnival's PLC lines could combine the number of cruises. I'd be Platinum on Princess. I'd also like to see them give us extra credit for balcony cabins. Like maybe 10 days being equal to 14, 7 equal to 10, something like that. I am very grateful that Princess counts days, as well as voyages. We've done quite a few 10 and 14 day itineraries, that would only count as 1 cruise on other lines.
Dear Queen of cruizin
Your location caught my eye, formerly lived in Sterling Heights,,,now in Florida....
Re; Oceania,,,,nice thing about it is size, only 700 passengers, makes getting on and off easy, good customer service, and get same perks as listed if in Concierge class....after my first cruise, its smaller ships for me,,,going on SeaDream in June, only 115....like the personal attention....I d say give it a try at least ONCE....
MUTS, sounds nice, I do love the Solarium on RC too, an usually adult area, quieter, the big beds on the Celebrity Eclipse or Solstice sound great too, but it's hard enough to get a pool chair, I can't imagine getting one of those.
Alexandra, I also lived in Sterling Hts for 7 years, back in Warren to be nearer to Mom. Please quit all the Oceania enticements, believe me, I am ready, my wallet just isn't yet. Woprking hard so I can play harder soon.

You know I was thinking about AZAMARA CLUB CRUISES, if you have loyaty status with Celebrity or RCCL it carries over to that line which is very much like Oceania. They use the exact same small ships - 700 or 735 Pax, more port intensive cruises,
•House wine with lunch and dinner.
•Gratuities for housekeeping and dining staff.
•Bottled water throughout the day.
•Complimentary self-service laundry.
They talk alot about wellness and Spa and port education and shows with local flare.
I have been itching to try them to the West Med.
I need to retire I just don't get enough vacation.
My understanding is they changed things when they rebranded Azamara to Azamara Club Cruises, and it now has it's own loyalty program that doesn't accept RCI or Celebrity credits. At least that is what they told us at the press conference last fall when they announced the changes. Do you have other information?
