A client is looking for a short cruise with a Classic Rock music theme. This is for a group of 20 to 30 who are all celebrating 50th birthdays in September to November 2006.

Anyone know of cruises that might work?

Hi Bill,

That is a tough one. Although non-oldies rock 'n roll cruises are out there, they are not as prevalent as blues, jazz, country, and big band cruises. There is a rock cruise that probably comes close to what you are looking for next month, but I can't find anything for next fall at the moment. The one next month is at The Rock Boat

BMI has also done rock cruises and they may one in the works for next year.

I took part in 'The Rock Boat 2004'. I had a great time. My client is interested in classic rock the Rock Boat is more contemporary rock.

From time to time Carnival has some special cruises. It was a year ago or so they had a cruise with REO, Styx, and I think Journey. You would probably have to call their Special Events desk to find out if anything else is planned like that.

Try calling guest relations (800)929-6400 or email guestinfo@carnival.com They should be able to lead you in the right direction. I believe it was the Carnival Triumph last year that had the cruise I mentioned earlier. Sometimes certain events are chartered out by another company and you have to book it through them. Such as an "oldies cruise" on Costa one year. But if there is anything scheduled they should be able to give you information.

I did a little research. It was 11/27/04 on the CCL Triumph they had the three bands I mentioned prior. It appeared it may have been arranged by "Clear Channel"???
