If for some reason you could not cruise for your next vacation, what would be your next best choice? Would it be all-inclusive, island get aways, time-share, your home state or country?

I can hardly think of anything I would rather do but I know it would not be a time-share. To me that money would be better spent cruising.

I enjoy island destinations or National Parks and camping in my home state of Minnesota. So what rates #2 for my cruise-crazed friends?

We actually have a time share. Bought it years ago in the Brainard area. We had never stayed there until last summer, because we have traded the week each year and have been to places we never would have gone. Some of them are Bahama's, Cozumel, Numerous locations in Florida (Key West being the absolute best), to name some of the highlights. Next year, we plan to trade into Hawaii. The timeshare has really worked out well for us. A lot depends on the week you buy and if you know how to work the trades. I still would opt for a cruise anytime, but for now, I'm happy with some cruises and a tropical trade somewhere.

Well, Disney World for now as the kiddos are still young enough to enjoy that. (But this cruise we are doing a few days at Disney after, so we get a bit of both worlds there).

Yellowstone is planned and the wife and kids want to do Hawaii (which I thought about cruising to, but I am not a fan of NCL America)
So those would be the other choices.

Without the kids, I enjoy Vegas...

Well, when not cruising, we enjoy going out of the country. We also have a timeshare in sedona. We were able to trade our timeshare for a week in Marrakesh. We will spend 9 nights in other parts of Morocco, with a 2 night stay in london prior. We will most likely trade next for Bali, or a trip to vietnam. I have been to most countries in europe, I was stationed there. So, I want to experience other exotic places. I am patiently waiting to book in the Genesis class on RCCL. Till then we will be doing land trips. Lil' Lori

Ken...one thing we've looked at is renting a houseboat on the Erie Canal or the Trent-Severn canal. it is really inexpensive for what it is and the scenary is simply beautiful from the info I have seen.

I have friends who travel the Mississippi river on their plush house boat. I think that would have some appeal to me as well.

This happened to us just recently. We thought about a cruise in April, but gave it up for a few days in Tucson, AZ. The parks out there are beautiful...incredible scenery with the Saguaro Cactus everywhere. It was so peaceful, and so far removed from our lives here. We stayed in a hotel and visited a different attraction each day.

We're thinking of going to Sedona next year to see more of this beautiful state.

My first choice would be a F1 weekend, Monza, Monte Carlo or Australia. The second choice would be a week in Tahiti. However, I couldn't afford either one, but those would be my dreams. The best would be to cruise to those places!

Spent a week each in Yellowstone, The Black Hills, and Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park (camping all the way). We could go back to any of these three and spend another week, easy.

As for Dizzy World, sorry y'all, but you can have it. Maybe we were all too jacked up about the upcoming cruise, but to us, Dizzy World was a letdown. Consensus among our family, including the 11 and 16 year olds, don't need to go back. If I gotta go to a Dizzy Park (which is not high on my list of things to do), we'll go to Dizzyland and California Adventure in SoCal.
