This might sound like a stupid question but on average how much would you spend on a 14 day cruise two adults no kids. I know you could say how long is a peice of string I am just looking for a rough guide.

hi pat, i have heard experinced cruisers say about $100p/d but it depends on what you do on board the ship with the casino & alchol, as long as you have a good time
This is a question you have to ask of yourself. How can any know what another couple will spend? I all depends if you drink, gamble, go on excursions, buy gifts; or just lay out in the sun everyday. We bring about $500 in cash, and just use our credit card for almost everything we purchase. There are days when we don't spend a dime; I like those days.
Patbud, we usually budget $100/day and bring a credit card for the rest. This does not include alcohol, casino, gifts, or excursions. We normally purchase our excursions through the ship. The $100 is for taxi fare, tips, water (or soda), or something little that catches our eyes. Best wishes!
We do the $100 a day budget for two people as well. It is for cash for taxis, tips, and anything extra as Penny said. I keep my gambling money seperate. It is just to be on the safe side. We have never used that much though, and rarely half. We take it in traveler's checks, and often pay down the shipboard account the last day with the extra.
I got yelled at the last time for doing that though! "I wanted those charges to hit the credit card for the points!" I guess I will bring the extra home from now on to pay the bill with.
With tips, shore excursions and alcohol I would say $100 a day is about average for me (traveling alone). Maybe a bit less at times depending on the cruise.
f-mattox makes a great point about trying to break it down. And it is really going to depend alot on one's alcohol consumption. I was not counting what we charge on the onboard account. It would also have to do with the type of cruise I would think. And I have not been on a 14 day yet.
