I've never used this before, how well will it work? I bought the one that said "Less drowsy". There were so many to choose from that I honestly just picked one. Hope it works for us "if" we happen to need it. Just thought we'd better have some just in case.

You will probably hear many different opinions, but the formula used in non-drowsy Dramamine works fine for me. If you have a tendency toward motion sickness and have not been cruising before, take a dose an hour or so before you sail, but unless you are extremely sensitive, you will probably not need it at all unless the seas are 7' or more. In any case, it's good to have some on hand, if only for peace of mind! If you wait to take it until you are already quite queasy, it won't be as effective; I have used it if I know the seas are rough (take one in 24 hours) or if I start feeling just a bit "off" in semi-rough seas, and have had good results.

Thank you so much, because I honestly didn't know anything about it. Not even to take it ahead of time. This is our first cruise so I have no idea if it'll get to us or not. But I'm gladly ready to find out. We're so excited! Thanks again for the info!!

My wife discovered motion sickness bands. These are elastic bands worn on the wrist. They have a button like object onthis band that puts pressure on the median nerve (an accupressure point) Sounds hokey but it works for both her and our daughter. No drugs but you might get a weird suntan.

These can be purchased at most travel stores or on the ship (Princess anyway)

Great...thanks! The Princess Grand is the one we'll be on so we may check them out if we have to. Hopefully we won't need any. But it's always good to know ahead of time.

Riptide, Oh you will love the Grand Princess....we enjoyed our cruise to Mexico so much......you will hardly know you are on the water......I took Dramamine with me but don't think I ever took it. I was worried about getting seasick on an excursion we took to the Myan (sp?) Ruins because I had heard that people get sick on this trip......one of the crew on the Princess told me to just eat bread or breadsticks or a bagel for breakfast and I was fine....bon voyage

We take Bonine and it works great. Take it an hour or so before you get on the ship and no problem. When you leave from Florida on either coast there is always some turbulance about 2-3 hours out. More so leaving Tampa. Sometimes the first night is like a gosht town.
