Round Trip or one way better?

My husband and I would like to go on an Alaskan Cruise in summer 2007 (late June/early July). Is round trip or one way inside passage better? If there is anything else you would like to tell us - like which cruise line etc, please share! Thanks,

We have done 2 cruises on Holland America, both the inside passage. First cruise was round trip from Seattle. We visited Sitka, Juneau, Ketchikan and Victoria, BC. The 2nd was a 1 way and we visited Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway, Glacier Bay and College Fjords. We sailed from Vancouver, BC and disembarked in Seward Alaska. We have relatives in Anchorage so spent a week there after the cruise. If you have time I would recommend a cruise/land tour combination. If not, I preferred the 1-way cruise. You can spend a couple days in Seward and Anchorage on your own before flying home. Rent a car and do things on your own.
