Airline Question

I know this isn't merely RCCL themed but you all are so helpful here. We booked -separately- a flight into and out of Orlando the day before the cruise and one leaving the day we get off the ship. Well now we are getting close- the airline moved the filght up 15 minutes! Are they allowed to do this unlimited? What if they move it up more? What if they were to move it to where we couldn't get to the airport in time? Right now we have time but I'm a little worried that next weekend will roll around....and they will change it or they will change it while we are at sea and we won't know till its too late.
(We had a 12:15 flight and at this time they have moved it up to 12:00)

i have had flights change a half a dozen times or more. usually just a couple of minutes difference.

Yes, airlines can change flight schedules and I have been affected by this several times. If your flight to Orlando is changed again and you know you won't be able to make the revised flight time, just give the airlines a call to let them know that you will be on a cruise ship and cannot make it -- and they are usually pretty good about changing it to a later time without charge.

You can find out while on the ship by checking the airline's Web site, or by registering for updates via your cell phone number with the airline before you leave. When you pull into Port Canaveral and have no messages on your cell phone, there would have been no changes. If you do have a message, you will find out before you get to the airport.

One thing worth looking into now is that changes in flight times will occasionally result in changes in your seat assignments. So, call the airline to ensure that your seats are still together. It's better than waiting until you get to the airport next week.

The best thing to do is to call the airlines and talk to an agent, explain that you're returning from a cruise and need a flight after 12:00. They are usually most helpful. This happened to us last fall - our return flight was changed three times before we left. I called and verified before we sailed to double check our return flight.
