Passport woes and warnings

My boyfriend and I applied for first time passports in the middle of May for our cruise in October. Hopefully we should be OK. The passport tracking website says they are being processed. It took a coworker of mine 15 weeks to get hers and hers was a renewal. I will keep my fingers crossed!

I am just so grateful to have been so lucky. My DH and I applied at our local post office late on Friday afternoon, really late, so don't even think they went out that day.

We expedited, and we received both of ours less than two weeks later, AND the packets were delivered on the Fourth of July, a no mail day.

We were just so lucky I guess.
