some users have suggested that their cruise tickers are no longer displayed properly while other users have not experienced any problems, at all.
The reason for this is the following: The forum software has apparently been patched with a security update. As many of you might know, HTML code has always been ignored by the forum software for security reasons. However, signatures were excluded from this until the recent software update.
When creating a cruise countdown clock, there are different ways to include it in one's signature. The recommended way has always been through the use of UBB code, and those users who have done so do not experience any problems now.
Other users have used HTML code in the past which was accepted by the forum software even though it should have been refused. So, those users experiencing problems with their tickers have more than likely used HTML code. All that needs to be done to "repair" the signature is to change it from HTML code to UBB code.
Those of you who don't know how to do this are kindly asked to reply within this thread and we will repair their signatures.
I'm sorry for any inconveniences this might have caused.
For this countdown clock select "Generate UBB Clock Code" button at the bottom.
For The Caribbean Mag ticker, after you have selected a clock use the "bbCode" choice at the top of the second page. This is the first choice of three options.
I assume you went in and fixed mine for me. I thank you for that. I was about to ask you what the difference was between the UBB code and HTML went I notice my tickers working again.
After I looked at what was changed, its fairly obvious to me, so I can handle making adjustments in the future.
Penny3333 is the only other regular poster that still seems to HTML tickers. I don't know if she needs instructions on how to convert or not. But know that UBB is needed is important (I had no idea the forum cared as when I created mine it worked as is)
