Dave, Just wanted to take the time to thank you personally for being so attentive, polite and for passing on information and answering our questions. You answer many questions from us newbies and many of them are the same questions over and over.

I appreciate your kind comments. They are really the only "pay" anyone gets since we staffers are all volunteers who do this because we love it.

There are many others on staff too, it is just that I've had a LOT of free time lately and always seem to be the first person to see new messages. But it is back to work for me on Wednesday!

We don't mind answering the same things over and over. Such is the nature of a cruise forum which seeks new cruisers with questions, as well as seasoned veterans to keep us straight.

Thanks, LHP. But I have to say that when it comes to Carnival, I will defer to your experience with that line. And of course, if I happen to leave personal item on a ship I can always count on asking you to see about retrieving it for me.

Same feelings here too Dave! Its nice to see a forum with activity where it doesn't take someone 3 days to respond to a question! You should be proud that this board has increased the enthusiasm for everyone's cruise experiences and kept first-timers from getting intimidated or overwhelmed in their planning. I have throughly enjoyed it all as it also makes the day at work go by faster too!

It has been a goal of mine to help grow this board and get more regular members. I get a good feeling when I see more "regulars" today than I did a year ago. But this is a team effort and everyone of the staffers and regular members need to get the credit for Cruise-Chat getting bigger!

After so many Carnival Cruises, has Carnival rewarded you with a free cruise, or more? On my second Carnival Cruise, they rewarded me with a second Captain's Gala held in one of the lounges, for repeat guests only. I can't imagine what they would reward you with.

A free cruise????!?!? Bahahaha... right.. like that is going to happen. The past cruiser parties are the only reward your get. After 10 cruises (might even be 12) they give you priority boarding/ disembarkation service (which is nice) and a small free gift in your stateroom but a free cruise not....

Actually, the grand prize at the past passenger parties on Princess in the mid-70's was a drawing for----A FREE CRUISE!
Now, the passenger with the most cruises logged gets a commemorative plate (as in dish) and a bottle of wine.
