Jack, so sorry to hear of your weather related problems. This happens a lot; one area in drought and another in deluge. If only things could be evened out.
I just love this thread... It started innocently enough with a prayer for the end of rain and quickly degenerated to "two buck chuck." (A rather nifty moniker for a discount male prostitute) Anyhoo, from there is went to Ken's habanero peanuts, Penny's aqueducts, and Jack's dingies.
Hey, how's the rain situation in Alabama these days? The fire that I mentioned here on the Central Coast of California that started on July 4th is still going and getting bad again, it has been going for a month now. If anyone has some extra rain, we could sure use it.
Hi digdmr, I sure wish we had an abundance to share. Would certainly send some your way. We had to take the family pontoon boat out of the lake last week because of the drop. Half the corn crops look dried up. I am almost afraid to wish-hope-pray for rain, it could come all at once in the form of a hurricane now and make a flood.
I just read that this fire has burned almost 40,000 acres at a cost of $42 million and is flaring up again, closing one of the major highways. I don't live close to the fire zone, but I live in a very dry area that could go up in flames in a second. Let's keep our fingers crossed for both of us.
