What is the weather like in the Eastern Caribbean like in October?

I have gone on many cruises in October. The weather has always been very warm. However; it is hurricane season, so you could experience adverse weather if a hurricane is in the vicinity. I think of all my cruises in October only two times was a hurricane in the area. The Captain reversed the itinerary and we had no problems.

We've been on quite a few cruises in October-December time frame. Last year was the first time we had any bad weather and there were 2 hurricanes brewing. We sailed on November 5th and didn't have to change our itinerary, but did get a lot of rain. We didn't care since we were snorkeling anyway. It's not cold anyway and we're not at work--yipee!! But honestly, we've usually had great weather, maybe an occasional shower, but until last year no bad weather. Have a wonderful cruise!

I cruise every year during the last week of October/first week of November. In general hurricane season has ended by then and the weather is nice and warm. Mid 80's with lots of sun daily. You do have to have an open mind though as booking a cruise then you can't be too sure where you will go. If a hurrican hits an island hard that year you won't be sailing into that port. It's no biggie; they will find you something else but it isn't a good idea to have your heart set on any one island.
