I was watching Larry King last night and heard about this incident that took place in early July. Has anyone else heard about this? From watching the show, seems like there were a lot of details missing. Does anyone have more information on what or how it happened?

I read about this ,and they found blood in the cabin and on one of the lifeboats below the balcony of his cabin. It was also reported that the bride and groom had a big fight in the casino .The police in Greece qestioned the bride but did not charge her.It has been about a month ago now and I have heard no more.If I do I will advise. It was the Brilliance started in Barcelona cruising in the Mediterrenian Sea to Samos in Greece in july, when an american couple drunk to much. Other passengers were outraged about the noises, so the captain send them to their stateroom. Next morning they found blood stains from the cabin to the lifeboats. They were searching for the 27 year old husband, but did not find him.
The woman was found drunk in another cabin and could not remember what happend.

I found this on the german board and it was a message from a newsagency which I tried to translate for you.

I have been reading all sorts of speculation about what might have happened on other cruise boards. But, the bottom line is that he is still missing (presumed dead), wife was questioned and released, crime scene has been totally compromised (RC workers removed blood stains, new passengers have been sailing on the ship and staying in that cabin) and all possible involved parties/witnesses have scattered. Chances of solving this one are pretty slim.

Suzi is right, the rumor mills are running wild with this one. If you are interested in the details as they have unfolded, I have included 2 links to news articles that provide all the reported details to this point. The first link is to an article in USA Today that chronicles the initial events:

The second is a more recent article that is based on an interview with a deputy police chief that just happened to be staying in the cabin next to the honeymoon couple:

Please remember, however, that we need to read news articles with a grain of salt - but from all accounts these two particular articles appear to provide a balanced report of what has been publicly released regarding the event.

What I have read is that Wife didn't know he was missing until late that morning because after a night of partying she passed out, woke up and went to the GYM. When she returned she realized he was missing. She either did not know he wasn't there when she first woke up or assumed he had gotten up already.

1. What newlywed wife doesn't realize her husband isn't in bed all night?

2. What hungover person wakes up and goes immediately to the gym?

There were other things that stuck in my mind when I first read this story. He had lost quite a bit of money gambling the night before. I also initally read that there was a small amount of blood in the cabin.

I have my theories!

Hi Carla,
I think those of us that have followed the story all have our theories.....I agree that the wife's reported behavior does seem a bit questionable. (I would think any newlywed would be somewhat concerned with her spouses wherabouts on their honeymoon).

I read reports of blood in the cabin, as well. But, in the accounts I read - her husband had won a lot of money in the casino and was seen being carried (he was supposedly wasted) back to his cabin....And so goes the rumor mill....Who knows what to believe????

On the Today show today they said this;

1. The wife and husband were partying. She passed out in the lounge. He was helped back to his room by 2 russian born, US citizens and a Cal. teen.
2.There was alot of noise in the cabin as reported by the guy next door. Including a loud thud.He called 911.
3. The guy next door looked out his room and saw the 3 leave.
4. They interviewed the wife and do not think she is a suspect.
5. The russian guys were also being investigated b/c the next day they apparently raped or ***ually assaulted a woman and video taped it.
6. There is alot of wondering b/c neither hubby or wives family have been outspoken about finding him.
