just enjoyed my first cruise on the grandeur of the seas.
my question is, if one particularly enjoyed the cruise and the staff, particularly the service of wait staff, is it possible to request or find out if the same staff would be available on another cruise?

The best thing is to write to the cruise line and tell your appreciation of that particular crew member. Its rather unlikely that one comment from guests will affect the rotation, but it will certainly be a pro to his/hers career file.

cherbear - I am going on the Grandeaur in April of 2008 - any advice. How is the appearance of the ship? I heard it was going into dry dock for renevations - any scoop on this? Any info would be appreciated.

hi, it was my 1st cruise so i have no other to compare to, but i thought it was beautiful with a more community feel to it. not overwhelming large and not too small.
I wish i was going back on it. really liked my wait staff. Mary head waitress, robin head waiter and victor assistant waiter. they were all right on the money any time a beverage or food item disappeared. we had second seating for dinner. i had heard about the dry dock from the staff, but it didn't seem like any big deal. as if it were just a regular maintance thing. Staff had invited us back on the summer round when the gradeur goes to baltimore. would love to do that and have the same wait staff.

stupid question: i'm not sure where to get the appropriate address to write the cruise line, do u have any suggestions or do u know? i am a novice internet user and i get so lost and confused at times as to what is an ad and what is legit.

I would call their 800 number, explain what you want to do and ask for the correct person to send your letter to,

cherbear - what deck were you on an what grade of stateroom were you in? Did you have a safe in your room and also was there a fridge?

serious cruiser- my room was on deck 4 and not sure what you mean by grade. i had gotten the cheapest my travel agent could find. there was a safe in the room but not fridge. one of the top silliest questions asked or statements made on my cruise was in regards to the safe. the person stated they did not understand why the microwave in the room wouldn't pop their popcorn.
