When I find I am intersted in booking a cruise -one of the better sources for viewing the ship is turning out to be- You Tube!!!All I do is enter the name of the ship in the search block and I'm finding all types of videos taken aboard the ship! This can be a good reference source for a curious cruiser!
billybuzzy, what a great tip. I entered "Sapphire Princess" and got more videos than I had time to watch. And the best thing is they are shot by passengers, so you see the ship the way it really is--not the glitzy professional promos with nothing but beautiful young thin models. Although some of the passenger videos were pretty darn good.
I have been able to locate videos of some of the older ships (Under their current names)we have sailed on in past years and have been amazed at the changes or lack thereof-so you tube offers nostalgia, adventure, cruise planning info etc.-for those of us that love ships and shipboard life it is a wonderful tool! There are some very good uses for you tube-and some great info for future cruise planning!
