Mickey,
Thank you for your kind words and thank you for visiting our forum.
The Mariner is the sister ship of the Voyager, Explorer, Navigator and the Adventure of the Seas. All these ships are basically the same design, with slight differences in the decor. But when a ship is the last of its class, the design team usually finds some things it can improve, which should make the Mariner even more interesting. These ships are awesome and your in for a thrilling new experience.

Mickey, Mary & I like the newer, larger ships because they afford us more choices. They are like floating resorts with many of the same amenities. The newer ships offer the latest in design and technology and creature comforts. The new larger ships have alternative restaurants, and more music and entertainment choices. And my Mary loves a balcony cabin. We enjoy having a romantic breakfast on our balcony and Mary finds it a great place to dry our pool things.
Mickey, if you have read our reviews, you know that Mary & I repeat in each of our reviews, that we can’t think of a more romantic, intimate, exciting way to spend quality time with the one you love, than when on a cruise. We know this is going to be a wonderful, memorable cruise for you and your spouse. Make sure you write and tell us about it when you return.
If we can answer any other questions you have, it would be our pleasure.
Our warm regards,
Tom & Mary
